THE MUSICAL MIND - Q&A Screening with Scott Hicks (Sydney)

AACTA is pleased to invite you and a guest to a special screening of THE MUSICAL MIND: A PORTRAIT IN PROCESS, a new documentary from award-winning director Scott Hicks (SHINE). Featuring superstar musicians Ben Folds, Daniel Johns, David Hefgott and Simon Tedeschi, A MUSICAL MIND draws inspiration from SHINE, exploring how each musician channels their unique perspectives into sublime musical creations.

Following the screening, director Scott Hicks will be joined by stars of the film, renowned writer and concert pianist Simon Tedeschi, and three-time Archibald Prize finalist Loribelle Spirovski, to discuss the film.  

A MUSICAL MIND is directed by Scott Hicks and written by Hicks and Jett Heysen-Hicks. The cast includes Daniel Johns, Ben Folds, David Helfgott, Simon Tedeschi, Loribelle Spirovski, Gillian Helfgott, and Anne Phelan. The film is produced by Kerry Heysen and Jett Heysen-Hicks, distributed by Banijay.
